Components of the course:
- Code.org (Minecraft Course A and B)
- Scratch Junior
Code.org (Minecraft Course A and B)
- Understand key concepts of digital citizenship
- Understand that whatever they do online leaves a footprint
- Introduction to netiquettes i.e. E-safety
- Understand the basics of algorithmic thinking and programming
- Write basic code
- Understand the importance of sequencing in programming
- Understand how to use loops and write program
- Understand the impact that computers have on our lives
- Understand the uses of events
Note: Once the entire “Course A and B” will be completed by students after attempting the
last unit of lesson 12, student will be awarded with the International Certificate by Code.org.
Scratch Junior
- Use algorithms and instructions to create animations and games in a programming language
- Understand the purpose of Scratch junior
- Understand that Scratch is used for programming games and animations
- Familiarize yourself with the Scratch program interface
- Familiarize yourself with the Paint Editor interface
- Add a new background and character
- Understand the purpose of coding
- Command a character using triggering motion and end blocks
- Save a program in Scratch Junior
- Edit an existing Scratch junior program
- Insert and program multiple characters in an animation
- Use the commands of the “Motion” block
- Use the commands of “Looks” block
- Use the commands of the “Sound” block
- Use the commands of the “Control” block
- Use multiple blocks to create an animation or artwork
